This beautiful piece was first shown in 1890 at Tiffany Glass Company in New York as part of an exhibit of celebrating the completion of 35 stained glass windows. It is said that Parakeets are modeled on John James Audubon study of Carolina parakeets, or as he called them Carolina Parrot from The Birds of America. It is considered a triumph in American art.

The original window is in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
